The land we live on

As creatives working with the resources generously provided to us by our Mother the Earth, we are bound in reciprocity to care for her. To take only what we need and to give back, helping to ensure bounty for future generations. With this spirit we acknowledge those who have cared for the land where we now live and play, and those who continue to do so.

Loop takes place on the traditional territories of the people of Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes:

The Blackfoot Confederacy ~The Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai

The Îethka Nakoda Wîcastabi First Nations ~ Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations

Tsuut’ina First Nation.

The City of Calgary is also homeland to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
